Competition Entry

Knowing how and what competitions your athlete should enter has never been that straightforward...

In this section of the Athlete-Parent Handbook we provide examples of which ones are good to know about and how to enter them.

A word of advice from us: Enter competitions as soon as they are released and book accommodation early.

English Schools Athletics

This is the big one, the pinnacle of youth athletics. Where hundreds of the country's best young talent come together to battle it out. This competition is where your child's athletic journey can take its next step whether that's XC, track & field or multi events.

Though it is important to consider it isn't as straightforward as other competitions to get into.

Just ensure:

  • Your child enters their county schools athletics championships.
  • Your child's school are aware of the event and how they can help.
  • You ask your child's county athletics team any questions before it's too late.
